Great Rivers United Way is mobilizing communities to action so all can thrive by investing in local resources that foster mental wellbeing.

Since 1949, Great Rivers United Way has united people and resources t0 find solutions to our community’s most pressing challenges. We take a comprehensive approach, listening and responding to our region’s top needs.

The 2024 Compass Now Report named mental health as that top regional need. Healthcare access; social and economic needs; nutrition and physical activity; and substance use are also in the top five.

We heard you — 83% of Compass survey respondents told us they are very or moderately concerned about mental health. Great Rivers United Way is working to foster mental wellbeing, in addition to meeting basic needs like food, shelter, and safety — a critical foundation for mental wellness — so everyone in our region can feel connected and cared for throughout their lives.
